He graduated from GuangXi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and obtained his MD in TCM in 1984. After graduation, he had practiced Acupuncture, Traditional Massage, and Herb Medicine as a doctor at the People’s Hospital of GuangXi for 11 years.
He obtained Sasakawa scholarship to go to Japan to study Rehabilitation Medicine and late Neurology. He acquired his Ph.D. in Neurology and Neurological Science from Tokyo Medical and Dental University.
He had been the Director of Acupuncture Department in China since 1989. and Senior Research Fellow in the field of Herb and Acupuncture at Harvard Medical School. He is Board Member of United Alliance of NYS Licensed Acupuncturists, Vice Chairman of the World Manipulative Medical Association and professor of New York College of Health Professions.
